Second Life is an interview podcast by Hilary Kerr (Who What Wear) that explores the career changes of some inspiring women. Holly from Buffalo Veg turned me on it and I’ve been addicted ever since. New episodes are released on Mondays, which starts the work week off on the right foot. I’m always able to take away a little something from each episode that changes or inspires my decisions for my business.
Here’s some of my favorite episodes, so far:
Cassandra Grey: Violet Grey Founder
I have loved this cosmetics retailer for a long time, and Cassandra details how she gets you to immediately connect with it. Also, a good follow on Instagram.
Aurora James: Brother Vellies Founder
Aurora explains the sacrifices you need to make to get your start-up off the ground, and how unpleasant they can be. But, the rewards can far outweigh the sacrifices.
Ellen Bennett: Hedley & Bennett Founder and CBO
Ellen describes her schedule, and the hard work and dedication it takes to make your own business successful.
Cyndi Ramirez-Fulton: Chillhouse Founder
Cyndi identified something that was missing from her spa experience, and then went out and created it. Additionally, she talks about what makes a robust brand.
Please listen so we can talk about it.
